NOTES from the remasterer: I did this remastering job about a year ago. The flaws (imo) of the original bootleg I tried to correct were as follows: 1) flat / mono-ish sound - 2) distant sound - 3) overall lack of dynamics.

Show comments: A classic show by the great band Kansas with the original line-up with maestro Kerry Livgren on guitar and keyboard and Dave Hope on bass! This is an audience recording of their New Years Eve gig during the Point Of Know Return tour. The show is nearing midnight after Sparks Of The Tempest and Robby gets the crowd all fired up by proudly telling them he will count down the remaining seconds of the year 1977 on his digital watch that’s performing accurately to less than 8 seconds off per year. (I guess the digital watch phenomenon was brand new and 8 seconds off would have been quite acceptable back then ;-) The countdown starts at 24 seconds and after that Robby wishes everybody a happy new year and the band immediately kicks in with a scorching version of Carry On Wayward Son. Believe me, this classic show will be a most welcome asset to any Kansas collection! [Taken from original nfo file]
