Personnel: Ian Anderson : Voice, Flute, Guitar, Harmonica :: Martin Barre : Guitars :: Doane Perry : Drums & Percussion :: David Goodier : Bass :: John O'hara : Keyboards & Accordion ::
Guest: Ann Marie Calhoun : Violin (Except *).

Notes: Excellent Console Sound, Mp3 256k - Acoustic. --- This One Comes Originally From A Perfect Sound Quality Soundboard Recording, And A Complete Concert. However, The Original Tape Was Not Perfect Because, As A *real* Soundboard Recording, The Audience Was Not Taped, And Was Barely Audible. ---
It Was As If The Band Was Playing In An Empty Studio, With Ian Chatting And Joking Alone Between Songs ! That's Not The Way I Like To Listen To Live Concerts... Fortunately, I Was Able To Find A Recording Of The Concert From The Following Day In Brazil (21 April, Rio De Janeiro), Which Was Taped From The Audience. Sound Quality Was Not The Best, But Jethro Tull Played The Very Same Set In The Very Same Running Order, And Ian Anderson Told More Or Less The Same Jokes Between Tracks !

Notes: This superb audience recording captures Pink Floyd at the Boston Garden during their American leg of 1977’s In The Flesh tour. The instruments are almost perfectly balanced with a nice clear punchy drum sound. It’s not quite as vivid or full sounding as the Oakland show from May 9th but definitely one of the better sounding ones from the tour. Comments around the microphone are kept to a minimum but can be faintly heard in places.<-(Info taken from collectorsmusicreviews.com).

Notes: Excellent Soundcheck Disc. Paul And The Guys Are Having Fun. Sound Is Superb.

Review By Beatle Bob: -This Release Is A Big Surprise, Turning Out To Be One Of The More Delightful And Fun Live Cds From Paul I Have In My Collection! Paul's Been Known To Be Loose And A Bit Free-Spirited,(And Quite Enjoying Himself When Not Sticking To The "script Of His Live Shows") During His Sound Checks (Though It's Obvious Even The Jams Presented Here Are More Or Less Well-Rehearsed, Not Leaving Much Room For Improvisation).

There Is Controversy As To Whether This Cd's Tracks Are Presented In The Correct Order (I Sense They're Not Based On Comments Paul Makes That Don't Apply To Some Of The Forthcoming Tracks). Unfortunately, I Don't Have Any Sound Checks To Compare From In 2005, And Have Not Been Aware Of Any Surfacing On Bootleg? This Aside... I Must Tell You That None Of It Distracts From The Great Quality Of The Disc. The Performances Are Top-Notch From The Band. The Vocal And Instrumental Balance Is Nearly Perfect. The Real Highlight, Is The Unexpected And Fantastic Stereo Separation Presented. I Think I Now Prefer Sound Check Mixes!.

Notes: First An Apology. I Uploaded This Boot In 2007 With A Wrong Date As Tokyo 1980-04-15. At That Time Two New Silver Boots From The Tokyo 1980 Shows Were Released, "shakedown" From April 14th And "sing For Me Tokyo" From April 15th. Shakedown Was Exactly The Same Show As The "tokyo Bites" Boot (Only A Different Source), That Had Been Circulating For Years With A 1980-04-15 Date And "sing For Me Tokyo" Was A Different Show. So I Thought That The New Boots Were Labelled Wrongly. But Last Year Another Boot "tokyo Choir" From 1980-04-15 Appeared, Being From The Same Show As The "sing For Me Tokyo" Boot.
Considering That "tokyo Bites" Originally Only Claimed To Be From Tokyo 1980 (Just The "rock Me Baby" Silver From The Same Source Explicitely Said April 15th) I Now Believe That Someone Made A Mistake Back Then Giving These Boots A 1980-04-15 Date And That All The New Silvers Have The Right Date

Still Called This Flyer, It Contains Material Which, As Far As I Can Tell, Is Mostly Uncirculated. The Sound Quality Is Excellent, There Is Little Doubt It Is Copied Off The Master Reels. Where These Master Reels Came From Or How They Got There Is Still Up For Speculation. James Brown - The Godfather Goes To Africa. (Big Fro - BF-023)

Excellent Soundboard Recording -> Silver CD :: CBR 320 kbps.

02. The Payback
03. Soul Power
04. The Boss

14. Get On The Good Foot Part 2
15. It's a Man's World Jam Part 1
16. It's a Man's World Jam Part 2
17. Money
18. Finale

Notes: This is the recording of Brown’s 1974 concert that was part of the build up to the “Rumble in the Jungle”, the famed boxing match between George Foreman and Muhammad Ali. This is, to my knowledge, the only post-Payback, pre-decline live album of Brown, and therefore it is absolutely essential.

The sound quality is great-to-good throughout, and although sometimes the crowd cheering drowns out the band a little (especially, annoyingly enough, during “The Payback” and its reprise) all the musicians are loud and clear, and the only complaint is that maybe the horns are occasionally too screechy-sounding, but it is not a major problem.

A bigger problem is that some of the tracks are edited together rather poorly, with “Get on the Good Foot” being split into two parts and some songs getting cut off before the band has finished playing. Although these edits don’t have too much of a negative effect on the album, they do ensure that the flow gets broken a few times throughout. (Taken from rateyourmusic.com)

12 - Where Do You Think You're Goin
13 - Eastbound Train
14 - Southbound Again

This is a show Dire Straits did in the Old Waldorf, San Francisco. It has been broadcasted on the radio and there are many bootlegs,
all with different setlists.

This bootleg, created by Button Recordings, has all available songs, with best available sound (soundboard/FM), mixed together from several sources in the right order.

Tracks # 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13 are taken from the new source
Track # 3 beginning from the bootleg On the road to Philadelphia, rest from Old Waldorf 1979
Track # 4 is taken from the bootleg Old Waldorf 1979
Tracks # 7, 12, 14 are taken from the bootleg Bijou
Track # 9 is taken from the bootleg On the road to Philadelphia

Additional comments (from original info-file):
After having the bootlegs Bijou, Old Waldorf 1979 and On the road to Philadelphia, 8 tracks of this concert appeared in perfect sound quality, better than any of these previous bootlegs. All the songs are combined to make one complete bootleg of it which resulted in " The new Old Waldorf ". Really a great one with the best available sound on all tracks.

Notes: "Mandrake root"?? Second night ever they played "Strange kind of woman" live. First was at Leeds the night before.

*** European Adventure Tour ***

Personnel: Mike Oldfield :: Mike Frye (drums and percussion) :: Morris Pert (drums & percussion) :: Tim Cross (keyboards) :: Maggie Reilly (vocals) :: Rick Fenn (guitar and bass) .

Notes: Mike played Hanover twice in 10 days: the second date was added to close the 25-date German leg of his tour that confirmed him as one of the biggest rock acts in the country. He continued his evolution as a man-manager by assigning a percentage of tour profits to each member. ". He was helped by manager Ossie Hoppe (ex manager of Whitesnake) and the tour was merchandised by Jeremy Parker who joined Mike in Finland. It started a long association.
