Personnel: While Knopfler, Illsley, Fletcher and Clark, the tour nine-piece line-up included Chris White (sax), Paul Franklin (pedal steel), Danny Cummings (percussion), Phil Palmer (guitar) and Chris Whitten (drums).

Notes: comments(OEB): Audience recording from London 1991. Interesting concert, fairly good sound. Very nice versions of Tunnel of Love and, Fade To Black", a song that was very rarely played. This live version is very nice! Available on two CD-R's. Complete show! A MUST HAVE!!

comments(knopflerlive): EXCELLENT SHOW! Wonderful performances, guitarplaying and mood...! Almost every track has that "power" and great solos by Mark Knopfler. Especially good are Heavy Fuel, Planet of the New Orleans, Sultans of Swing and, Fade To Black - a very rare. Also nice to hear different version of Your Latest Trick with great pedal-steel guitar intro by Paul Franklin (instead of bongo-and-sax-intro). Also beautiful and powerful Tunnel of Love and Money For Nothing.
This one of the best shows from 1991/1992 On Every Street tour
.

Comments(money for nothing): From the bootleg "Sold Out In Every Street", this recording sounds excellent ; and musically it's perfect. 'Romeo And Juliet' and 'Sultans Of Swing' are the best versions i've heard from this tour so far. Rare version of 'Fade To Black'
.<-(Info taken from Enlight's original info file).

This is a show Dire Straits did in the Old Waldorf, San Francisco. It has been broadcasted on the radio and there are many bootlegs,
all with different setlists.

This bootleg, created by Button Recordings, has all available songs, with best available sound (soundboard/FM), mixed together from several sources in the right order.

Tracks # 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13 are taken from the new source
Track # 3 beginning from the bootleg On the road to Philadelphia, rest from Old Waldorf 1979
Track # 4 is taken from the bootleg Old Waldorf 1979
Tracks # 7, 12, 14 are taken from the bootleg Bijou
Track # 9 is taken from the bootleg On the road to Philadelphia

Additional comments (from original info-file):
After having the bootlegs Bijou, Old Waldorf 1979 and On the road to Philadelphia, 8 tracks of this concert appeared in perfect sound quality, better than any of these previous bootlegs. All the songs are combined to make one complete bootleg of it which resulted in " The new Old Waldorf ". Really a great one with the best available sound on all tracks.

Dire Straits - Before We Became Famous. (X Rekords :: CD 2 DEF/DS81)

Excellent Soundboard Recording -> Bootleg Silver CD :: CBR 320 kbps.

01. Once Upon a Time
02. Skateaway
03. News
04. Private Investigations
05. Angel of Mercy
06. Tunnel of Love I
07. Tummel of Love II
08. Down to the Waterline
09. Sultans of Swing *
10. Wild West End *

Personnel: Mark Knopfler - lead guitar, lead vocals :: Hal Lindes - rhythm guitar, backing vocals :: John Illsley - bass guitar, backing vocals :: Alan Clark - keyboards :: Pick Withers - drums.

Notes: The cover art suggests that this show was recorded "On the first european tour of '79", but the majority was taken from a radio broadcast recorded in Belgium on 1981. Sourced for CD release from LP from vinyl, has some crackles and pops. Still, it's an important part of history from the "Golden Era" of silver CD bootlegs, and to me as well as it was the first Dire Straits ROIO CD I ever obtained. * t09-t10 Cologne, Germany - February 17, 1979. <-(Info taken from geetarz.org).

Dire Straits - Angels on a Saturday Night. [3br 1978]

Excellent Soundboard Recording :: CBR 320 kbps.

01. Southbound Again

04. In The Gallery
05. Water Of Love
06. Setting Me Up

NOTES: This bootleg is one of the earliest Dire Straits live recordings (actually the only earlier live recording is only one song - Eastbound Train from the Hope & Anchor pub, London, December 1977). This bootleg concert was recorded about one week before the recoding sessions for the very first Dire Straits album. This gig was the last of a short England tour, where Dire Straits played support for the Talking Heads. For this reason they did not play a full-length concert set. The bootleg is from a soundboard recording on a tape cassette. (Taken from mk-guitar.com).
